What is Trauma?
“Trauma is when we have encountered an out-of-control, frightening experience that has disconnected us from all sense of resourcefulness, or safety, or coping, or love.”
-Tara Brach
What is Resilience?
Resilience is the ability of our nervous system to easily adjust to naturally occurring stressors through the day.
Who We Help
Anyone can be impacted by trauma.
We especially seek to help the invisible and under-served such as immigrants, LGBTQ individuals, the impoverished and those affected by collective and historical trauma.
We also serve those vicariously affected by working with survivors of trauma, such as first responders, teachers and parents. Our organization is invested in providing innovative ways to respond to trauma and promote resilience.
