Safe and Sound Protocol Project

HeartSpace Clinic has received funding from the Boone County Children’s Services Fund to offer the Safe and Sound Protocol. This treatment has been found to reduce symptoms associated with stress, overwhelm and trauma for both adults and children such as hypervigilance, emotional reactivity, poor sleep, aggression, etc.

​Participation involves a clinical intake via telehealth, participation in the auditory intervention via telehealth over 5 to 10 weeks and completion of pre and post questionnaires (2 weeks and 3 months post intervention)​.

Who can participate

Boone County residents who are:

Children ages 2 and up and adults who are parents of children under the age of 18.

More than one member of a family can participate.​

Cost

For qualifying individuals from Boone County, the cost ranges from $0 to $150, with the amount paid determined by the individual. The rest of the cost is covered by the Boone County Children’s Services Fund.
